Errors in the presale and huge prices leaves fans ticketless or seriously out of pocket.

There was huge disappointment this morning for WWE fans trying to buy tickets to the live Smackdown show this August.

Fans were eager to capture tickets to the first ever televised WWE show in Ireland on August 22 in Dublin’s 3 Arena.

WWE have been advertising tickets for the last month and allowed people to sign their emails up for presale tickets which were going on sale at 10 AM this morning.

When fans tried to access the site, they were blocked and told by the Ticketmaster website they needed a link and not a code to enter.

Social media platform X was awash with disgruntled customers with users describing the sale as botched and a disaster.

The official Ticketmaster support account had asked this morning that anyone affected was to contact them and a member of their team will respond via direct message.

This is the latest in a growing series of issues people are experiencing using Ticketmaster since the Oasis dynamic pricing scandal in August last year and were named as the most complained about firm in 2024 by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.

WWE themselves are yet to respond to the issue; however, they are subject to the complaints of those who did access the site.

Their parent company TKO has been under fire for price hikes involving their other major asset UFC and the WWE appears to be going the same direction.

Shocked Fans were showing off their bills online with some tickets costing between €250 and €300, and these are not even for ringside seats or lower tiered seating. For those of you still hoping to see your favourite WWE wrestlers this August the general sale is this Friday at 10am.
